Mystos is an interactive 3D game that plunges players into the heart of ancient Latin American legends. Each level unravels the mysteries of a specific legend, bringing its mythos to life. To unlock the path forward, players must uncover sacred artifacts tied to the legend, hidden across intricately designed maps.

The main challenge is to rebuild the story by gathering and combining its lost relics. Using different camera angles, players will explore every corner of the environment, receiving hints with each discovery. Each artifact reveals part of the story, accessible through the inventory, where players can learn more about the legend and piece together its forgotten tale.

 

What if ancient legends weren’t just tales from the past... but journeys you could live through? 

The legends of Latin America are more than ancient tales; they are reflections of our roots, our struggles, values, and dreams as a people. We aim to make these stories accessible and entertaining, by showing them through cute little dioramas.

The game features two key modifiers:

• Oye Mi Canto: The team’s composer drew inspiration from traditional Peruvian music and instruments, such as the quena and drums, blending them into the game’s soundtrack to evoke a sense of cultural authenticity.

• Ancestral: The legend chosen for the first level is The Legend of the Ayar Brothers (Peru), which tells the story of 4 brothers, guided by their divine father, who emerged from the caves of Tamputoco, south of Cusco, to establish what would become the Inca Empire. However, the game goes beyond a single setting, with future levels inspired by diverse legends from across Latin America.
